Oh! I can't believe a new school year has started!
Our brothers and sisters from Primary 5 went on their Chinese Heritage
Tour between 29th Jan to 31st Jan. I bet they must have had tonnes of
fun reliving the olden days of our Chinese ancestors and savouring the
goodies of the Chinese New Year at Chinatown!
Pit-stop 1 - Thian Hock Kheng Temple
Here at the temple, our brothers and sisters learnt more about what our
ancestors pray to for safety - Ma Zu. They also learnt that entering
places of worship helps them to appreciate and understand more about
the diverse religions in our country!
Pit-stop 2 - Breakfast @ Maxwell Food Centre!
Yes, food, glorious food! A hungry man is an angry man! So.. they stopped at Maxwell Food Centre for a sumptious breakfast!
Pit-stop 3 - Shopping!
Yes! Singapore's most loved hobby! Nothing's gonna stop them from
buying all the yummy goodies and little souvenirs from Chinatown!
Pit-stop 4 - Chinese Opera House
Next, they visited the Opera House where they learnt more about the culture of Opera Singing.
And Anthonians are just so talented!!! Some discovered they have the makings of an opera singer!!!
Pit-stop 5 - Fu Tai Chi Museum
Next, they went to the museum to learn more about the early lives of the Chinese migrants.
Pit-stop 6 - Far East Square
Their final stop of the day. Here, they learnt more about the coolies
of the early days and the five elements - Earth, Water, Wood, Fire and
Metal.
They are so lucky, aren't they!! I wish I can go too!!!
XoXo
